What is the Story?

Max (Pierce Brosnan)and Lola (Salma Hayek) are master thieves with tons of panache and style, specializing in unbreakable alibis. Max and Lola are blissfully retired to a beautiful Caribbean Island, preparing for their wedding. At least Lola is pretty blissful. Max is not adjusting quite as well. He hasn't managed to write his vows or find a hobby. And then come two arrivals -- that FBI agent (Woody Harrelson as Stan Lloyd) and the third Napoleon diamond, the only one Max and Lola haven't stolen ... yet. Max knows he shouldn't steal it. But the local crime boss (Don Cheadle) wants him to get it to finance his expansion. Max has never managed to find a hobby. And that unbeatable security system is just sitting there, asking to be beaten.

What about the Pendant?

The pendant is carved from the water buffalo, also known as the carabao. The bone is from the femur or large upper thigh bone, which is very dense with little marrow and cartilage. This makes for a better bone substance for carving and results in a higher quality product. Brosnan is wearing a bone carved koru design pendant necklace. The Maori Koru design is scroll/ spiral shaped and is derived from the frond of the New Zealand fern plant. Hawaii also has a similar frond called the 'pohole'. The Maori are the indigenous Polynesian people of New Zealand. Koru' is the Maori word for the new unfurling fern frond. It symbolizes new life, regeneration, growth, strength and peace. For many this design is the symbol for renewal, hope for the future. Because everything continues and is reborn. Appropriately Pierce wears it in the movie since Max is trying to make a new beginning with Lola.
